The Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) is currently inviting applications for its Fellowship Program with an aim to enhance the nation’s capacity to assist crime victims and to provide leadership in changing attitudes, policies, and practices to promote justice and healing for crime victims.
OVC fulfills its mission, in part, by improving the skills, knowledge, and abilities of crime victim service providers and allied professionals who provide services and support for victims, or who help to ensure that victims are aware of their rights and are able to exercise those rights.

Funding Information
- OVC anticipates that it will make one award of up to $150,000 to each of the nine purpose areas for a 12-month project period.
- The program is designed to span a total of 3 years, contingent upon grantee performance and availability of funds to support the second and third years of the fellowship.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be individuals (organizations are not eligible to apply) who demonstrate the financial and administrative capacity to manage the cooperative agreement; along with the desire, knowledge, and ability to successfully execute the activities and produce specified resources within the fellowship topical area.
- The applicant must have prior experience or documented expertise within the topical areas of the fellowships.
- Applicants may apply for more than one fellowship but will not receive more than one award.
- The applicant agrees to abstain from any outside employment, either compensated or uncompensated, in subject matter areas related to the fellowship activities, for the duration of the fellowship, unless approved in writing by the Director of OVC.
