India: Ahimsa Fellowship Program Cohort 2023–24

Teach For India Fellowship 2023 Cohort

Deadline: 3-Jul-23

Applications are now open for the Ahimsa Fellowship, India’s first fellowship of its kind which gives direction to your dedication and compassion for animals.

The curriculum of this programme has been curated with inputs from leading experts in the field of animal protection and the social sector.

The Ahimsa Fellowship programme aims at creating a network of effective animal protection leaders adept at working closely with state governments and district administrations to enforce animal protection laws in India.

There is an urgent need of trained professionals who can capably assist the Government in fulfilling its statutory duties through systemic apparatuses like State Animal Welfare Boards, Societies For The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Infirmaries, Slaughterhouse Monitoring Committees, Animal Birth Control Monitoring Committees etc.

Ahimsa Fellows will be intensively trained to understand in-depth the existing legal and policy regime. They will also be encouraged and supported to take up advocacy efforts that complement their skill set and interests across the broad field of Animal Protection.
