India: Sustainable Development Goals Research Fellowship

United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Award

Deadline: 1-Apr-23

Applications are open for the Talk Dharti To Me Sustainable Development Goals Research Fellowship.

In 1987, the United Nations’ Brundtland Commission defined sustainability as “meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.” Consequently, the UN established 17 specific Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) designed to bring peace and prosperity to the lives of all present and future people around the world by 2030.

In the years that have followed, many attempts have been made to fulfil these goals, many have succeeded but many have failed. Their goal is to create a report that truly represents the attempts made at sustainable development in India. To achieve this goal, they’ve created the Sustainable Development Goals Research Fellowship. Through this fellowship program, the fellows will take a deeper look at SDGs at India’s state and union territory level. Besides conducting research, the fellows will write articles, incorporating their learnings into the reports they create.
