The Asia Foundation: William P. Fuller Fellowship in Peacebuilding

Call for Proposals: Sustaining Peace in Bougainville - Post Referendum support (Papua New Guinea)

Deadline: 15-May-23

The Asia Foundation has launched William the William P. Fuller Fellowship in Peacebuilding, dedicated to the professional development of the next generation of leaders committed to addressing conflict and peacebuilding in Asia and the Pacific.

The evolving complexity of subnational conflict in the 21st century requires significant investment in an emerging generation of committed leaders to innovate and drive solutions for peace. Emphasis is placed on network-building between fellows and the global peacebuilding community to support and elevate the fellows’ development and work.

Program Structure

The program supports three fellows each year. The small cohort model supports the development of a professional network and close collaboration. The program is designed so that fellows may stay in their jobs but also gain in-depth skill-building, professional development, exposure, and support for their work. Fuller Fellows are early or mid-career professionals (up to age 40) with demonstrated potential for leadership in peacebuilding who are actively working to promote peace through research, advocacy, policymaking, or other realms bridging knowledge and implementation.
