Benefits
The scholarship program for Ukrainians in Germany offers:
- a monthly grant of 861 euros,
- the opportunity to spend a semester at a public university of your choice in the Federal Republic of Germany and support with enrollment,
- Supervision and support from city groups from GFPS eV active at the study location,
- free participation in two scientific and cultural seminars at the beginning and end of the semester.
Eligibility Criteria
- People can apply for a scholarship who:
- have Ukrainian citizenship,
- OR are enrolled in Ukraine for studies,
- are enrolled as students both during the application and during the scholarship stay and have not yet reached the age of 26,
- OR were enrolled at a Ukrainian university by the winter semester 2021/22 and want to continue their studies in Germany,
- complete an in-patient/regular course of study at a university,
- have not already participated in a scholarship program in the Federal Republic of Germany for more than one semester,
- meet the requirements of the German embassy in Kyiv or have a residence permit for Germany,
- have a good command of the German language at the time the scholarship begins,
- are committed to civil society and are interested in the European idea
- The scholarship is aimed at people who are characterized by very good academic performance, extracurricular commitment, special interests and a promising scientific project as well as a spirit of research. They expect applicants to have written and spoken German language skills that enable free communication, as well as the willingness to get actively involved in the academic, cultural and social environment during the study visit to Germany. They particularly welcome applicants who can demonstrate social commitment (acting on behalf of non-governmental organizations or participation in citizens’ initiatives) and special academic achievements (participation in conferences, activity in scientific working groups).
