What is the Fulbright Foreign Student Program?

The Fulbright Foreign Student Program is a study program funded through the U.S. Department of State and administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE) in New York. Initiated by U.S. Senator William J. Fulbright in 1946, the program was created to increase international educational exchange between Americans and citizens of more than 150 countries worldwide.

Note: Applicants can apply for Ph.D. as well but the funding available from the State Department only covers two years of study
