Applications open for Community Transport Grant Program (Australia)

People and Place Grant Fund (United Kingdom)

Deadline: 01-Jul-2026

Camden Council is inviting applications for the Community Transport Grant program, aimed at helping organisations and groups access community transport services. The program supports social inclusion by reducing isolation and encouraging participation in recreational activities within or outside the Camden Local Government Area.

The grant process ensures consistency and fairness in determining which community organisations receive financial support. Each request will be reviewed individually by a committee that includes the Mayor and General Manager, based on recommendations from Council Officers.

Funding requests of up to $500 can be submitted and will be evaluated according to specific criteria. To qualify, applicants must be not-for-profit organisations or charitable groups with public liability insurance of at least $20 million, or be supported by such an organisation if unincorporated.

Applicants must also provide a quote from a registered transport provider with a valid ABN and the necessary licenses and insurance. They should not have outstanding debts or unacquitted grants from the Council and must demonstrate participation in recreational activities that promote social inclusion.

Funding will not be provided to businesses, or for excursions that involve antisocial behaviour, such as alcohol use, or those that conflict with Camden Council policies.

Assessment will consider the purpose of transport use, any previous requests, the Council’s available budget, the amount requested, and the applicant’s access to other funding sources.
