Nominations are now open for the Pen CS Awards to recognise excellence in data-driven quality improvement in General Practice and Aboriginal Medical Services, across Australia, by using health informatics.
The Pen CS Awards provide an opportunity to acknowledge the continuous hard work and achievements of primary health care in Australia.
Categories
- ‘Closing the Gap’ Award: This award recognizes an organization that has contributed significantly to improving care for Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander patients and communities in their general practice.
- Quality Improvement Initiative of the Year Award: This award recognizes an organization that has demonstrated data-driven quality improvement initiatives to improve clinical outcomes in their general practice
- Data-driven Clinical Excellence Award: This award recognizes an organization who has shown exceptional clinical outcomes, by translating data insights into actionable activities.
- Research in General Practice Award: This award recognizes an organization who has contributed to research in general practice. This means that the organization has been a participant in a research study with either a University or research organisation.
- Data Quality Award: This award category recognizes an organization who has illustrated distinctive data quality. This means that the organization strives to improve data quality using CAT and Topbar.
- Digital Innovation Award: This award recognizes an organization that has exhibited the innovative use of technology to drive quality improvement programs in their general practice.
- Patient-centred Care Award: This award recognizes an organization that has demonstrated exceptional patient-centred care.
- CAT Plus Super User Award: This award recognizes an organization who has shown innovative use of the CAT Plus software.
Award Information
With 8 award categories and each winner receiving a $500 reward in recognition for their achievements, Pen CS invites you to nominate worthy recipients.
Eligibility Criteria
- All nominees must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Awards are open to Aboriginal Medical Services or General Practices with a current accreditation that meets the minimum Standards, as outlined by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). These accreditations are gained through the accreditation agencies outlined by the RACGP here. Nominees must have an active software license with Pen CS such as CAT or Topbar.
- An authorized representative from either a Primary Health Network, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation, Research Organisation, Aboriginal Medical Service or General Practice may submit a nomination. Self-nominations are encouraged and accepted.
Appointment Requirements
- All nominations require:
- Current contact details of the nominator;
- Current contact details of the nominee; and
- Responses to all appointment questions.
