Request for Proposals: Conducting Data Analysis Project in Bangladesh

Local Government Data Fellowship in Nepal

Deadline: 20-Jul-2025

The World Health Organization (WHO) is inviting applications for a data analysis project aimed at improving understanding of Bangladesh’s health system capacity in preventing and managing complications from unsafe abortion.

The objective is to develop and share evidence-based country-specific analyses through reports, manuscripts, or policy briefs. These analyses will use available data to assess how the health system handles unsafe abortion-related complications. The findings will also contribute to the “we-care software application,” which helps stakeholders visualize how changes in the health system can reduce and manage unsafe abortion cases more effectively.

Applicants are expected to conduct a data availability assessment in collaboration with national stakeholders, including the WHO Country Office (WCO), government bodies, and NGOs. The role also involves acquiring and analyzing data, cleaning and visualizing it, and interpreting findings in coordination with relevant partners.

Applicants will participate in a virtual workshop with other country teams to design analysis plans and provide feedback on the “we-care” software’s usability. The final output will include a detailed report and contributions to a stakeholder workshop for feedback and discussion.

To be eligible, applicants must have at least five years of proven experience in data analysis, including producing policy briefs and manuscripts. They should have completed at least one technical assignment with WHO, other international agencies, or major institutions in data analysis. Experience in sexual and reproductive health or maternal and child health data, particularly in Bangladesh, is preferred.
