The National Institutes of Health (NIH), an agency of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking applications from eligible organisations for a program entitled “Conference for Early Stage HIV/AIDS Vaccine Researchers” with an aim to conduct intensive workshop/conference/meeting(s) that address the needs of early stage HIV/AIDS vaccine researchers as they translate preclinical research from nonhuman primates (NHPs) to human clinical trials.

The objectives of the meeting is to provide early stage HIV/AIDS vaccine researchers with guidance on conducting preclinical research to inform HIV vaccine strategies for clinical trials and developing skills related to networking, work-life balance, grantsmanship, and goal/milestone-oriented projects.
