The Harcourts Foundation has proudly launched a new partnership with Backpack Bed for Homeless, a national charity dedicated to helping Australians experiencing homelessness.
To further its impact, The Harcourts Foundation is inviting eligible organisations to apply for grant funding. These grants are designed to support specific events, projects, items, or initiatives that deliver real, measurable community outcomes. To be considered, the proposed activity must be scheduled within four months of the next grant decision meeting.
Applications must be future-focused. The Foundation will not fund projects that have already occurred or items that have already been purchased. If a grant is awarded and not used for its intended purpose, the funds must be returned to ensure they benefit another deserving organisation.
To be eligible for a grant, organisations must hold both Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) and Tax Concession Charity (TCC) status. These requirements ensure that funds are distributed responsibly and in accordance with Australian taxation laws.
The applying organisation must be the one directly running the project. If the organisation has DGR status limited to a specific area of work, the application must relate only to that area. The application must also be submitted in the exact name under which the DGR status is held.
