The office of the United Nations Development Program in Peru, within the framework of the “Sumaq Justicia. A justice of peace in the face of violence” invites women’s groups or organizations at the regional, provincial, district or community level to present a social innovation initiatives that is being implemented in the Huancavelica, Junín, Cajamarca or Lima East regions, oriented towards strengthening of female leaders linked to the prevention and care of gender violence, in order to strengthen their processes, make their relevant actors visible and contribute to their sustainability.
Benefits
- UNDP will support 4 winning initiatives that will have the amount of $2,500 each, which will be used solely to finance the proposal.
Group U Commitments Winning Organization
- The winning group or organization must give their consent for the photographic and audiovisual recording of their initiative in order to make it visible.
- Participate in support sessions with the Sumaq Justicia technical team.
- UNDP will require detailed monthly and final information on the execution of the award expenses in order to account for the use of this amount.
- The winning group or organization agrees to participate in audit meetings by UNDP to verify effective compliance in the execution of expenses.
- The amount of the allocated budget must be used entirely and only for expenses related to the implementation of the initiative.
- UNDP may use the results of the initiative for purposes of visibility of its activities and promotion for future editions of the contest.
- The winning group or organization will not advertise or otherwise disclose for commercial advantage or goodwill that it has a contractual relationship with UNDP, or use the UNDP name, emblem or official seal, or any abbreviation of the UNDP name , in connection with your business or otherwise without the written permission of UNDP.

- Participant Profile
- With experience or proven track record in strengthening women’s leadership and the fight against gender violence or,
- Interested in developing or strengthening an initiative linked to the work they do, aimed at preventing or improving care for gender violence in rural areas;
