Deadline: 31-December-2025
The grant program offers an inclusive opportunity for a wide range of applicants, providing funding in varying amounts to support community-focused projects. Larger awards are available for groups and charities, while smaller awards are targeted toward individuals and families, ensuring that projects of all scales can access financial support. This structure makes it possible for creative, educational, or community-oriented initiatives to come to life, regardless of the size of the applicant.
Specific award amounts are tailored to different types of projects and recipients. Groups and charities may receive up to $10,000, while funding for band instruments is capped at $5,000. Food pantries and personal care items, as well as turnout gear for fire departments, can receive up to $4,000. The Dolly Parton Imagination Library may receive between $3,000 and $5,000, families can receive up to $2,000, and individuals may receive up to $1,000. This tiered approach allows the grant program to support a diverse range of initiatives, from small-scale individual projects to larger community-wide programs.
Applicants are required to submit a detailed budget outlining all project expenses, demonstrating careful planning and accountability. Organizations must also provide a recent financial or profit/loss statement to show their capacity to manage funds responsibly. The program encourages applicants to identify other funding sources, as it does not act as the sole provider for any project. This ensures that projects are financially sustainable and well-supported.
Grant funds are designated for meaningful, community-focused purposes and cannot be used for religious activities, political campaigns, or utility bills. They are also restricted from covering operating expenses or salaries. Applications must not exceed the total project cost, and the same project cannot be submitted more than twice in a calendar year if previously denied. These rules help ensure that funding is used effectively and equitably.
