Deadline: 10-Dec-2025
The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) has announced a new Call for Proposals titled “Increase the impact of digital remittances in rural Morocco”, inviting organisations to design and implement innovative projects aimed at maximising the benefits of digital remittance flows for financial inclusion, economic empowerment and sustainable development in rural and peri-urban areas of Morocco.
The initiative is part of IFAD’s Financing Facility for Remittances (FFR) and the DigitRemit Morocco programme (2024-2028), co-financed by the Delegation of the European Union Rabat. IFAD It seeks to partner with actors who can expand access to secure digital transfer services for migrants and their families, promote uptake of savings, credit, and insurance products linked to remittance flows, and strengthen financial and digital literacy among users.
Eligible applicants include private-sector entities like money transfer operators, fintech firms, mobile network operators and micro-finance institutions; public sector organisations such as regulators and development agencies; and non-profits with expertise in financial inclusion and digitalisation.
For organisations working at the intersection of digital finance, remittance markets and rural economic development in Morocco, this call offers a timely opportunity to secure grant funding, build strategic partnerships and increase the impact of remittance flows for underserved communities. It’s an invitation to contribute to a transformation where remittances become a lever not only for household support but for financial inclusion and sustainable rural livelihoods.
