The SCENIC Enabler Grant is a funding opportunity in Sabah aimed at supporting startups, entrepreneurs, and innovators in gaining exposure and opportunities at national and international platforms.
Participants can use the grant to cover costs like event registrations, travel—both domestic and international—local transportation, and accommodation during their attendance at festivals, conferences, pitching competitions or exhibitions.
To be eligible, applicants must be based in Sabah and can be individuals, startups, or registered organisations such as SSM businesses, ROS organisations, NGOs, or relevant authorities. They must provide proof that they have been accepted, invited, or registered for the event and show that they will be directly involved—whether as speakers, competitors, exhibitors, or other active roles. Only one application per person or entity is allowed each year.
The grant application process requires a completed form, a profile or portfolio of the applicant or organisation, a statement of expected impact, and a detailed budget breakdown with any available quotations or invoices. The grant does not cover personal consumption, entertainment, salaries, nor debt repayment.
This grant gives Sabah-based innovators the chance to access resources to showcase their ideas, build networks, and represent Sabah on bigger stages.
