Apply for Multicultural NSW Stronger Together Grants Program – Australia

Canada Fund for Local Initiatives – Republic of Congo

Deadline: 24- Nov-2025

The Multicultural NSW Stronger Together Grants Program supports festivals and events that embrace and celebrate the rich cultural diversity of communities across New South Wales.

Through this program, multicultural and multifaith community groups can access funding to deliver activities that bring people together, build understanding, and strengthen social harmony. These events play an important role in fostering a sense of belonging and showcasing the cultural traditions that form a vital part of the state’s identity.

The Stronger Together Festival and Event Grant Program offers funding ranging from $5,000 to $20,000 to support festivals and events scheduled to take place between 1 April 2026 and 30 September 2026. Eligible applicants must be non-profit organisations based in NSW and able to demonstrate how their event will present cultural expressions, support participation across different communities, and celebrate shared values. Applicants are also required to show co-contributions from other funding sources and provide accurate, viable budgets to demonstrate that the event can be successfully delivered.

Applications should reflect how the event will promote cross-cultural awareness, encourage participation from diverse communities, and ensure the event is accessible to the general public. Organisations must also confirm that appropriate insurance and licensing requirements will be met, commit to sharing attendance data following the event, and acknowledge Multicultural NSW and NSW Government support in promotional materials.

While the program supports a wide range of multicultural celebrations, certain activities are not eligible, including political and commercial events, fundraising activities, single-faith religious ceremonies, and events that rely on ongoing annual funding. Local councils may only apply if partnered with a community organisation.

By funding festivals and events that encourage cultural exchange and community connection, the Stronger Together Grants Program continues to support a cohesive, inclusive, and vibrant multicultural NSW.
