The European Commission has launched a new proposal to support the National Commercial Registry Center. The initiative aims to strengthen the transparency of the national system for combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism, ensuring compliance with current international standards.
A key focus is implementing a management framework for the National Register of Beneficial Ownership in line with FATF recommendations. This will be done through the Implementation of the European Union-Algeria Partnership under the OPSYS: NDICI-GEO National Center for the Commercial Register.
The total funding available for this project is €250,000, with a maximum project duration of 8 months. Only public administrations and mandated bodies of EU Member States, as defined in the Twinning Manual, are eligible to submit proposals through their national contact points.
