Sisters of Charity Foundation Announces Latest Round Of Grants

Canada: Indigenous Community Corrections Initiative Program 2023

Sisters Health Foundation announced its latest round of grants for the third and fourth quarters of 2017. The foundation’s board of directors approved $1.5 million in funding in support of its vision of “healthy people in healthy communities.” Since 1996, the Sisters Health Foundation has awarded over $17 million in grants.

Grant recipients include: Access Health Stark County, Agape Ministries, Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Summit- Medina and Stark Counties, Canton Calvary Mission, College Club of Canton, Domestic Violence Project, Early Childhood Education Alliance , Early Childhood Resource Center, Early Childhood Resource Center, Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio , Hammer and Nails, Mercy Medical Center, Ohio Child Care Resource and Referral Association, People’s Baptist Church, Pegasus Farm, Refuge of Hope, Salvation Army of Massillon, Stark County District Library, Stark Education Partnership, Stark Housing Network, Thanksgiving Baskets Downtown, Warren Township Community Center.

The next due date to submit an application for the Basic Needs/Direct Service Grants Program or to submit a letter of inquiry for the Responsive Grants Program is Jan. 24.

The Foundation’s  mission is to promote healthy and sustainable communities by providing resources, strengthening collaborative relationships, and supporting initiatives that impact people in the Mid-Ohio Valley. Through this mission, the Sisters Health Foundation seeks to enhance the rich gifts already found in local communities.

Guided by its vision of “healthy people in healthy communities,” the Sisters Health Foundation supports efforts that promote oral health, healthy lifestyles, and health equity in the Mid-Ohio Valley. Established in 1996, the Sisters Health Foundation continues and expands the health ministry of the Congregation of St. Joseph.
