Fund for Local Cooperation: Seeking Applications from Palestinian Non-governmental Organisations

U.S. Embassy in Armenia: Peace and the Writing Experience (BTL) Program

Deadline: 14 March 2019

The Representative Office of Finland is seeking applications from Palestinian non-governmental organisations for a grant entitled “Fund for Local Cooperation” to support a development project to be implemented in 2019-2020.

The Fund for Local Cooperation (FLC) at the Representative Office of Finland is an instrument of Finnish development cooperation. The FLC support is channelled through local civil society organizations to complement the bilateral development cooperation of Finland with the Palestinian Authority. Finland’s goal for development cooperation in Palestine is to support Palestinian state building and contribute a peaceful, negotiated two-state solution. Through the FLC instrument, Finland aims to support the participation of the civil society in the peace and development process.

This call for project proposals is looking for a project to enhance the rights and status of women with the focus on women, peace and security.

The supported project should target at least one of the following expected outcomes:

The project should apply a human rights based approach and results based management principles. The project should also take into account the cross cutting objectives of Finnish development policy: strengthening the rights of the most vulnerable, promoting gender equality and improving climate change preparedness and mitigation.

Funding Information

The office will select one new project to be funded in 2019-2020. The available budget for the two-year period is 60 000 euros.
