Apply for Ama Amoedo Foundation Scholarship Grants 2025

Deadline: 31-Aug-2025

The Ama Amoedo Foundation Scholarship Grants are now open, offering support to strengthen the art ecosystem and its institutions. These grants provide key resources for artists, organizations, and initiatives that use art as a tool for social impact.

Grants are available in four categories: Artists, Art and Social Commitment, Organizations, and Publications. The announcement of recipients will take place in November, and project execution will begin in January 2026.

The Artists category is open to individual artists or collectives working in the visual arts. Eligible projects include artistic research, production of new work for future non-commercial exhibitions, project development, and archiving or preservation of an artist’s practice.

The Art and Social Commitment category supports individuals, groups, or nonprofits using the arts to promote positive societal change. Projects focused on education, social inclusion, and community engagement through artistic practice are welcome.

The Organizations category funds specific initiatives by institutions or nonprofits that aim to promote, preserve, and disseminate the work of Latin American artists. Proposals in various formats that directly strengthen the regional art ecosystem will be considered.

The Publications category supports both print and digital art publications, particularly those featuring or created by Latin American artists. These grants aim to foster professional growth through high-quality, relevant publications.

Four grants of $10,000 each will be awarded, one in each category. Projects must have a strong connection to Latin America, whether by nationality, cultural heritage, or project location. Applicants may apply in only one category and must be over 18 years old.

For group submissions or applications by institutions, a designated person must be listed as the legal representative. Applications can be submitted in Spanish, Portuguese, or English.
