The Applied Welfare Research – Sustainable Social Services 2026 collaboration grant supports activities that promote collaboration between research and practice and practice-oriented research within social services.

The focus of this grant includes collaboration between research and practice, strengthening the conditions for future practice-oriented research, and financing activities whose primary purpose is to achieve strengthened and deeper collaboration between research and practice within the areas of social services.

The collaboration grant must be applied for by a constellation consisting of at least one researcher active at a higher education institution and a representative from practice. Practice refers to activities and authorities that work within the social services area of operation and can, in addition to the municipality’s own organization, include private and non-profit organizations such as provider, user, and relatives organizations. The overall aim of the call is to contribute to strengthening the conditions for a sustainable, more preventive, and knowledge-based social service.

The grant can be applied for a project duration of one or two years. Applicants can request a maximum of one million SEK per year, which includes indirect costs, and applications exceeding this amount will be rejected. Around SEK 20 million is allocated for collaboration grants in this call.

Before applying, applicants must ensure that the principal applicant and participating researchers have created personal accounts in the Prisma application system, that CV and publication information for the main applicant and participating researchers are stored in each account, and that the grant administrator has an organizational account in Prisma and is approved as a fund administrator by Forte.
