The Landelijk Netwerk Vrouwelijke Hoogleraren has announced its Distinguished Women Scientists Fund to offer female postdoctoral researchers in the Netherlands an opportunity to advance their academic pursuits through international travel and collaboration.
The maximum funding available is €1,500. Postdocs, up to three years after obtaining a PhD, working in the Netherlands.
Applicants may request an extension of the three-year eligibility period by up to 18 months per child due to pregnancy or caregiving, or in cases of family care responsibilities, career breaks, sabbaticals, or part-time appointments. Each extension request is assessed individually.
Recipients must submit a detailed travel budget and are required to obtain travel insurance that covers at least cancellation. After completing their trip, they must provide proof of expenses, including tickets and accommodation receipts.
Applications are evaluated based on the purpose of travel and its relevance to the applicant’s professional and research development. The deadline for submitting applications is December 15, 2025, with results to be announced in February 2026.
