CFAs: Regenerative Regions Grant Program (Netherlands)

British Council’s Connections Through Culture Grants 2025

Deadline: 24-Oct-2025

The Creative Industries Fund NL invites (spatial) designers to conduct research by design into spatial strategies for regenerative regions in collaboration with parties from other relevant sectors.

In the canvas phase, a maximum of 26 applicants can be selected, each receiving a grant of €3,000 to develop the project canvas into a complete project application. Proposals can be submitted by spatial designers who build relevant coalitions with stakeholders such as communities, governments, local residents, cooperatives, farmers, circular entrepreneurs, social organisations, nature management, waterboards, project developers, heritage specialists, and educational or knowledge institutions. Applications must clearly outline coalition partners and their contributions, with emphasis on involving diverse perspectives and locally embedded parties.

Applications will be assessed on several criteria, including the problem analysis and resulting research question in relation to the theme of the open call, how the application is positioned with respect to existing knowledge and discussion both inside and outside the field, the extent to which collaborations contribute to addressing the issue, and the project’s contribution to a diverse and representative selection in terms of regions, target groups, and challenges.

To apply, applicants must submit a fully completed application form, a fully completed SPA project canvas, and at least one letter of intent from a coalition partner. Designers act as lead applicants and are responsible for the project, while collaborative parties act as co-applicants.

Applications are open until 24 October 2025 via the Creative Industries Fund NL’s application platform under the ‘Open Call Regenerative Regions’ round.
