Open Call for Lundbeck Foundation Experiment Grant Programme (Denmark)

Public Diplomacy Small Grants Program (Djibouti)

Deadline: 14-Aug-2025

The Lundbeck Foundation is inviting applications for its Experiment Grant Programme, which supports bold and extraordinary research ideas that challenge existing norms in neuroscience. They are looking for unique, high-risk proposals with the potential to transform understanding in important neuroscience fields. The evaluation process focuses on the strength of the idea itself, rather than the applicant’s previous scientific achievements.

Applicants are encouraged to submit proposals that could advance neuroscience or improve prevention, diagnosis, or treatment of nervous system disorders. The program seeks ground-breaking projects in their early stages that could fundamentally change a neuroscience field, open new research avenues, or introduce new methods or technologies.

The foundation has allocated up to DKK 60 million for this call. Applicants can request funding of up to DKK 2.3 million for projects lasting up to two years. The budget may cover both staff and non-staff costs related to the research.

To be eligible, applicants must hold a PhD degree by the application deadline, and the research must take place at a non-commercial Danish research institution or hospital.

Applications must include an anonymized project proposal, an anonymized CV filename, an anonymized budget, and anonymized letter(s) of support from the Danish host institution. The letter(s) must confirm the applicant’s length of employment at the host institution.
