Submissions open for Asian Cultural Council Organization Grant Program

UNDP Call for Proposals for Philippines

Deadline: 19-Nov-2025

The Asian Cultural Council (ACC) offers Organization Grants designed to support cultural immersion, research, and increase access to artistic communities or cultural resources in specific countries, territories, or regions.

These grants encourage knowledge exchange with peers and foster relationship-building across borders. The programming aims to cultivate more global and nuanced perspectives among organization staff and participants, while also developing capacity and inspiration for future cultural exchange opportunities.

ACC provides individualized support to enhance the proposed activities of Organization Grantees. This support can include advice and recommendations on logistical or substantive aspects of the activities, introductions to ACC alumni and relevant arts professionals or institutions, and invitations to local ACC events where possible. However, ACC’s offices are limited, with headquarters in New York City and affiliate offices in Hong Kong, Japan, the Philippines, and Taiwan, so some support services may be restricted. Applicants should design proposals that are feasible with or without additional ACC guidance.

Eligible expenses for the grant include economy-class airfare, local and regional transportation, accommodation, food, daily living expenses, visa-related fees, mandatory travel health insurance, interpretation services if necessary, and other costs directly related to research and cultural exchange objectives. ACC requires proof of travel health insurance with specific coverage minimums, including at least $100,000 USD per accident or illness, $25,000 USD for repatriation, and $50,000 USD for medical evacuation. Applicants are encouraged to obtain insurance estimates before submitting their budget.

Organization Grants may award up to $50,000 USD, with the grant amount determined by the proposed budget, activities, travel duration, and application quality. Applicants should submit realistic and reasonable budgets that reflect the full scope of their plans, including travel costs, visa expenses, insurance, interpretation services, and living costs. Grant amounts may be adjusted if the project scope changes.

Eligible organizations include nonprofit entities, government-affiliated or government-sponsored arts or cultural institutions, and academic or higher education institutions. These organizations must be legally registered and based in ACC’s eligible countries, territories, or regions and must demonstrate at least five years of experience in artistic or cultural programming.

Eligible destinations for grant activities cover a wide range of countries and regions including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Mainland China, East Timor, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Macau SAR, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan ROC, Thailand, the United States, and Vietnam.
