CII Foundation announces Woman Exemplar Award (India)

Deadline: 15-Aug-22

Nominations are now open for the Woman Exemplar Award that honours to promote women’s empowerment at the community level by discovering, recognizing and supporting those who have, against all odds, excelled and contributed significantly to the development process in India.

The program is intended for grass-root level, under–privileged women, from either rural or urban areas who have excelled as social change leaders in the fields of education or health or micro-enterprise.

The Program will encourage women who have not had an opportunity to study, or have studied against all odds, or have achieved several milestones without any formal or informal education. Women who have done exemplary work at a young age will also be encouraged.

The Award is called EXEMPLAR because the winning change makers demonstrate vision, resilience and role model leadership, setting an example for others, and igniting the spirit and the belief among them that they too can be empowered. The exemplars are self-motivated individuals, who transform their own lives and that of their societies.
