The Women’s Perspectives is inviting you to take part in the second wave of the competition “Superpower for Women’s Organizations” to receive support in capacity development!
Women’s Perspectives believes that strong women’s organizations work together to better strengthen the rights and empower women and girls.
The Western IRC conducts a competitive selection of women’s human rights organizations to support the development of their potential in Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Rivne, Ternopil and Chernivtsi regions.
Women’s organizations that will be competitively selected over the next three years will receive support from the Western IRC, which will:
- Assess capacity and develop an institutional development plan
- Offer a menu of training on organizational and programmatic issues
- Provide mentoring support
- Create networking opportunities and sharing experiences
Eligibility Criteria
If your organization:
- is a registered women’s organization that professes feminist principles and values*;
- created to promote gender equality, protect the rights and empowerment of women, and provide services to vulnerable groups of women and girls;
- works at the local level;
- ready to learn, develop and network for the next four years, they invite you to participate in the competition of women’s human rights organizations to receive support in capacity development.
*The project “Women of Ukraine: Involved, Able, Indomitable” by a local women’s human rights organization means: a non-political non-profit organization led by a woman, officially registered in Ukraine, whose mission is to combat all forms of discrimination against women and ensure equal rights for women and men in all spheres of society by promoting women’s rights as human rights; advocacy (at various levels from local to international politics), education and awareness-raising, monitoring of women’s rights based on international instruments and national legislation and policies, and the provision of services to women and girls.
To participate in the contest you need to:
- fill out an online application form given on the website.
- certificate of registration of the organization
- charter of the organization and certificate of non-profit
- motivation letter on the topic “competition of women’s organizations”
