International Renaissance Foundation (IRF) has announced the online Training “Building Coalitions and Partnerships” within the framework of the project “Voice of Women and Leadership – Ukraine”.
Representatives of women’s human rights organizations and women activists from different regions of Ukraine are invited to participate in the competition.
Focus Areas
During the training IRF will consider the following issues :
- General principles of partnership. Participation of women from vulnerable groups in the general women’s movement.
- Stages of building a partnership. Preliminary analysis of partners
- Principles and formats of association. Formalization of relations vs Informal associations
- Partnership mechanisms
- Preparation of joint statements. Working with the public narrative
- Evaluation of the effectiveness of the coalition/association.

- Participants: for representatives of women’s human rights organizations and women activists from different regions of Ukraine
- Participation in the training is free
Selection Criteria
The main selection criteria for participation in training :
- agreement to devote time and attention to learning
- intention to be a member of a coalition, network or alliance
- readiness to participate in the activities planned within the project
- Competitive and non-competitive projects are reviewed by Expert Councils, which include independent experts in a particular field, and the IRF Board. They decide whether to approve or reject projects after careful analysis and discussion.
- The decision of the Expert Councils and the Management Board is final and not subject to revision.
- Reasons for granting or not providing financial support are not reported.
The Foundation does not provide support for:
- Projects that do not meet the Fund’s priorities;
- Projects of a commercial nature;
- Humanitarian aid projects;
- Projects submitted by individuals, political parties or religious communities.
