The UN Women is seeking proposals to develop a comprehensive communication plan for the project “Promote equality between genders and the empowerment of women in situations of displacement and refugee”.

By putting women’s rights at the center of its work, UN Women leads and coordinates the efforts of the United Nations System to ensure that commitments of gender equality and mainstreaming are translated into actions throughout the world. At the same time, it exercises consistent and substantive leadership to support priorities and the efforts of Member States, building an effective partnership with the government, civil society, as well as with other relevant actors.

In order to contribute to the empowerment and protection of these women, UN Women has identified the following response strategy, taking into account that the development of processes for incorporating a gender perspective in humanitarian actions requires and equate time to make an impact on women’s lives, and considering the experience accumulated from previous and current inter-institutional interventions, particularly with the UNHCR and IOM:
