The 2021 Social Impact Award (SIA) program in Serbia provides mentoring and financial support to young people in developing innovative solutions to the problems of the 21st century.
SIA is working to create a community of young people who transform their intentions into actions. They do this through a series of events and workshops aimed at raising awareness about social entrepreneurship, teaching the skills necessary to turn general intentions into promising entrepreneurial ventures, providing access to various networks of peers and professionals and promoting the best teams through the Social Impact Award.
SIA is one of the largest international programs for the development of social entrepreneurship among young people, which, in addition to the knowledge, tools and techniques of social entrepreneurship, also gives them the confidence that they can be the initiator of positive change they want to see in the world. It is held in 14 countries on 3 continents, and in Serbia it has been implemented by the Razlivalište organization since 2014. This year, it is doing so with the support of Erste Bank, Vip mobile, Coca-Cola HBC Serbia, the US Embassy, SAP and the ERSTE Foundation.
Award Information
- The three teams that perform best at the end of the program receive an additional period of mentoring support, a cash prize of € 1,500 and the opportunity to participate in the SIA Summit international online conference.
Eligibility Criteria
- All citizens of Serbia aged 15 to 30 have the right to participate (all applicants
- must be born between 1991 and 2006);
- Applicants must not receive formal start-up support before applying. Under
- formal start-up support they consider financial support of a third party that exceeds the value of € 3,000 (angel investments, grants, awards nagrade);
- Projects that competed in previous years, except for the winning ones, can compete again in 2021 if they meet other criteria.
