2022 Edition of Young Peacebuilders in Latin America and the Caribbean

The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) is pleased to launch the Call for Applications for the 2022 edition of Young Peacebuilders, taking place in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The call is open to participants between 18 to 25 years old, from the region, with a strong interest in growing their ability to act as agents of peace in their community, region, and beyond, and to prevent violent extremism through intercultural and interfaith dialogue.

Eligible Countries

Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia (Plurinational State of), Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay, Venezuela (Bolivarian Republic of).

Eligibility Criteria

This is a call to youth aged 18-25 from LAC wanting to tackle violent extremism by building inclusive societies with understanding and respect among cultural and religious communities:
