For the third edition of the ARLEM Prize 2021, the Euro-Mediterranean Local and Regional Assembly (ARLEM), in which the Congress participates as an observer, is launching a call for applications to support local youth entrepreneurship in the countries on the three shores of the Mediterranean.
The ARLEM Prize rewards young entrepreneurs for innovative projects that work for the benefit of their local communities, with the support of local authorities. With this award, ARLEM aims to stimulate local enterprises, support young entrepreneurs and encourage collaboration between local public authorities and the private sector.
The winner, together with the local or regional authority that supported it, will be announced at ARLEM’s 12th plenary session in early 2021 (#ARLEMaward).
Criteria
Local and regional authorities and young entrepreneurs: Work together for the dynamism of the economy of your territory!
The price will reward:
- A young entrepreneur (under 36)
- Who benefits from the support of their regional or local community
- Whose business has been registered for more than 3 years
- Who has run his business for more than 3 years
- Whose head office is based in one of the countries of the 3 shores of the Mediterranean * (* Albania, Algeria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania, Monaco, Montenegro, Palestine,Tunisia, Turkey)
- Who wants to share their experience
His business will be evaluated in particular based on:
- Its impact on the community, social progress and development
- Support from the local or regional authority at its disposal
- Its impact on job creation
- The percentage of women in its workforce
- Its degree of innovation
- Respect for workers’ social rights
- The award ceremony will take place on the margins of the next plenary session ofARLEM in 2021.
