Blog Writing Contest for Next-Gen GST Reforms in India

UNESCO-Transcultura launches Open Call for FondosCultura (Round 3)

Deadline: 15-Oct-2025

The Government of India has now introduced the Next-Gen GST Reforms, designed to make the tax system even more seamless, efficient, and technology-driven.

These reforms aim to empower businesses, reduce complexities, and improve the overall ease of doing business while ensuring greater benefits for consumers. They promote broad-based awareness and enable citizens, especially youth, educators, design professionals, and engaged citizens to visualize, interpret, and communicate these transformative initiatives creatively.

The first prize carries an award of INR 10,000, the second prize INR 5,000, and the third prize INR 2,500. In addition, seven consolation prizes of INR 1,000 each will be given to deserving entries, ensuring that more voices are recognized and supported. These rewards symbolize not only financial encouragement but also recognition of citizen contributions in shaping the national discourse around GST reforms. The competition is open to all Indian citizens.

In the larger picture, these initiatives strengthen India’s economic and civic culture. As reforms simplify taxation and encourage compliance, they simultaneously cultivate a sense of ownership and contribution among citizens. The combination of economic policy with citizen engagement has the potential to transform reforms into a shared journey, where benefits are experienced not only in financial terms but also in terms of participation, awareness, and national pride.

The contest entries must be written in English or Hindi with a word limit of 1000 to 1500 words and file size not exceeding 4 MB. The content should be original, based on authentic personal experiences, data-backed insights, or researched observations. Plagiarized or AI-generated submissions will not be considered.
