Call for Entries: Digital Art Award (India)

Nominations open for Sabbatical Awards - United States

Deadline: 30-Sep-2025

Applications are now open for the Digital Art Award to recognise and celebrate original, innovative and non-commercial art by young Indian creators in the Digital Illustration and Digital Art medium.

The award carries a prize of ₹60,000 for one winner and is open for applications until 30 September 2025. Applicants must be between 18 and 29 years of age, with their date of birth falling between 1 January 1996 and 1 January 2008, and they must be Indian citizens. Overseas Citizens of India are not eligible to apply, and all entries must be submitted individually, not through galleries or agencies.

Eligible submissions include digitally illustrated or painted images and computer-generated 2D or 3D art. The allowed file formats are JPEG, PNG, or PDF, with a maximum file size of 15 MB, resolution of 150 dpi, and maximum dimension of 1500 pixels in width or height. AI-generated images, scanned hand-drawn artwork, animated visuals, GIFs, motion picture files, commercially oriented designs, infringing material, and previously submitted artworks are strictly prohibited.

Applicants must submit between 8 and 12 original artworks, along with a title or theme of no more than 10 words. A description of up to 500 words should explain the chosen theme and its connection to the submitted artworks. Each individual artwork must be numbered and may include a title and a short description. Artists must ensure their names or watermarks are not included on the works, and they must hold unconditional copyright for all submissions.

Shortlisted applicants will later be asked to provide original, layered files in formats such as PSD or AI. The jury’s decision will be final and binding. Winning entries may be featured on the TFA website, blog, and promotional materials with full credit given to the artist. Artists retain full copyright over their work, but winners must acknowledge the “TOTO Award for Digital Art 2026” whenever their winning images are exhibited or published for two years following the award.
