CFPs: Support for Training and Entrepreneurship for Employment Development in the Tourism System Initiative (Ethiopia)

CFPs: Enhancing Employment Opportunities for Vocational Education and Training Students (Moldova)

Deadline: 22-Sep-2025

The Italian Agency for Development Cooperation has opened a call for proposals aimed at enhancing training and entrepreneurship for employment development within Ethiopia’s tourism system. This initiative seeks to foster local economic development, particularly in emerging sectors, by promoting job creation and entrepreneurship.

The project focuses on equipping youth, women, and persons with disabilities with skills relevant to tourism, including ecotourism, hospitality, and conservation. It also supports the promotion of cultural and artisanal products. Efforts will be directed towards establishing and growing micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), enhancing professional competencies, and encouraging digital transformation in tourism, especially in the Jimma area.

A maximum of €2,500,000 is available for funding, with each project allowed a duration of up to 24 months. Eligible proposals must focus geographically on Addis Ababa and/or Jimma City.

To qualify, civil society organizations (CSOs) must meet specific legal and financial conditions. They should not be in debt to public administrations, under bankruptcy or liquidation, or involved in legal proceedings for unethical or fraudulent practices. They must also be compliant with tax, social security, and legal obligations in their operating country.

Proposals will be excluded if they fail to meet technical or eligibility requirements, if multiple proposals are submitted by the same individual or entity for the same project, or if they lack the capacity to operate locally.
