The Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in collaboration with MyGov invites the citizens, especially the youth to participate in the “NCL Video Contest – Breaking Free from Colonial Legacy” in its pursuit to make people more aware of the New Criminal Laws (NCL).

Specifications: Duration of video – 2 to 5 minutes, Format – MP4, Language – Hindi, English & Regional, Share the link of your video on MyGov (YouTube link or Google Drive link with public view access). Theme: NCL Breaking Free from Colonial Legacy. These short videos created by the participants will help them generate more awareness among the youth (university/school children) of this country. Gratification: The Best entry will receive the Prize Money of ₹10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only). The contest is open to Indian citizens.

The initiative emphasizes the importance of involving the youth in understanding and spreading awareness about the new legal framework of India. By engaging school and university students, the contest aims to make knowledge about these significant reforms more accessible and relatable. The theme, NCL Breaking Free from Colonial Legacy, serves as the central idea encouraging participants to creatively showcase how these legal changes represent a step forward from the colonial past toward a more self-reliant and modern India.
