Nominations are now open for the Portugal Space Prize Challenge to empower Young Women to Participate in the New Era Of Space Exploration And Industry.
The Space Prize Challenges provide transformative, curated experiences to young women around the world, in hopes of spurring more women to pursue STEAM education and explore careers in the space industry.
What Is The Portugal Space Prize Challenge?
Young people from all over the country will present applications consisting of a well-crafted essay and video in the hope of winning what will surely be a life-changing experience. In addition to the grand prizes, the winners and finalists will also have access to opportunities such as a private reception at UN headquarters, exclusive internships, access to space education courses, study trips with industry experts, among others.
Benefits
The finalists will receive a year of guidance from a leader in the space industry, and the winner will also receive an Air Zero G flight with the first Portuguese astronaut, Mário Ferreira.
Eligibility Criteria
The Portugal Space Prize Challenge is open to Portuguese students between the ages of 18 and 22. Five finalists will be chosen from the best entries, and two winners will be selected from among the finalists.
