Pre–Call Information Session on DEMO Programme to Enhance Employment and Mobility Opportunities (Egypt)

Deadline: 13-Oct-2025

The Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) is inviting stakeholders to join an information session ahead of the launch of the Call for Proposals under the DEMO Programme, which is financed by the European Union.

The focus areas of this initiative are the establishment of the DEMO Labour Mobility Centre, foreseen as the institutional hub for training, information, matching services, and cooperation between Egypt and Italy on labour mobility; the identification of suitable premises; the estimation of the number of annual workers to be served; the provision of detailed information on staff and operational capacity; the requirement to develop a sustainability plan, in coordination with competent authorities, to ensure the long-term financial and institutional viability of the Centre beyond the project’s duration; and the role of the DEMO Centre as a reference point for aligning skills development with the needs of the Egyptian labour market, while simultaneously preparing Egyptian youth for mobility opportunities to Italy.

The information session is designed to provide preliminary insights into the objectives, scope, and requirements of the upcoming call. It is intended to promote transparency, equal treatment, and open competition, in line with EU procurement principles.

During the session, participants will be guided on the expected contributions from applicant organisations and how these will contribute to the effectiveness and sustainability of the Labour Mobility Centre. Special attention will be given to the dual function of the Centre in both strengthening the Egyptian labour market and preparing young Egyptians for mobility to Italy.

This session is described as general and non-binding. It does not replace or anticipate any official information session under the PRAG rules, nor does attendance confer any advantage in the future selection process.

Participation is open to all interested companies, institutions, and organisations.
