Deadline: 06-Dec-2025
The European Union has launched a new initiative to strengthen the capacities of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, aiming to enhance the country’s compliance with the European System of National Accounts (ESA 2010).
The project’s overall objective is to support Serbia in meeting the requirements outlined in the Transmission Program of Data, specifically focusing on ESA Table T20 (Cross-classification of fixed assets by industry and asset) and ESA Table T26 (Balance sheets for non-financial assets).
This effort represents a crucial step toward aligning Serbia’s national statistical systems with EU standards, improving the quality, accuracy, and comparability of data on national accounts and asset management. By implementing this project, the Statistical Office will be better equipped to produce reliable data that support evidence-based policymaking and economic planning.
The project will be implemented across Serbia over a maximum period of 36 months, with an additional three months allocated for completion and final reporting. The total budget available for this call for proposals is EUR 1,999,999.
Under the eligibility criteria, only Public Administrations and Mandated Bodies from European Union Member States, as defined in the EU Twinning Manual, may apply. Applications must be submitted through the National Contact Points of the respective EU Member States. This framework ensures close collaboration between EU institutions and Serbian authorities, fostering knowledge transfer and institutional strengthening in line with EU best practices.
Through this partnership, the European Union continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting Serbia’s progress toward EU integration by enhancing national capacities, promoting transparency, and reinforcing the foundations of sound economic governance.
