Art Access Programme: Networking for Greater Inclusivity in Culture & Arts

Open Call for African Artists AU20 “Our Africa, Our Future” Artists Residency Programme

Deadline: 30-Oct-20

The British Council and Goethe-Institute Ukraine, in cooperation with the Creative Europe Desk in Ukraine and Insha Osvita, invite cultural and art institutions from Germany, the UK, Ukraine and other Eastern Partnership countries to apply for the international networking opportunity: the chance to establish networks of like-minded partners for joint projects that aim at building greater inclusion of disabled people in culture and the arts.

The objective is to provide disabled cultural workers with full access to the range of instruments that promote cultural expression. The programme will provide 25 candidates — cultural managers, artists, producers and activists — with individual mentoring in the skills of self-presentation and partner searches. Participants will further benefit from an online matchmaking event and mentor support in establishing project collaborations.

The British Council invites to sign up for this 4-week online journey — a multi-tiered programme designed to enable working relationships that long outlast the scope of the project.

In addition, the council designed a three-day international online Art Access Forum Festival where applicants will have access to panel discussions, lectures and showcase events. The festival will focus on issues around the inclusion of artists and audiences with disabilities into the artistic and cultural life of their communities.
