Africa’s Business Heroes Prize Competition (ABH) is now open to identify, support and inspire the next generation of African entrepreneurs who are making a difference in their local communities, working to solve the most pressing problems, and building a more sustainable and inclusive economy for the future.
Every year, ten finalists will be selected to compete in the ABH grand finale pitch competition and participate in a TV Show that will be broadcast online and across the continent. The finalists compete for a share of US $1.5 million in grant money.

- ABH also spotlights the most promising entrepreneurs as they progress via press releases, social media, and news articles and provides significant exposure opportunities to finalists via the Africa’s Business Heroes Show, which is distributed across 40+ African countries.
- Grant Funds of up to $300,000
- Their Top 10 finalists share a prize pool of $1.5 million with the first prize winner taking home $300,000 in grant funds.

- 3rd Prize Winner $150,000
- Other Top 10 Finalists (7) $100,000
- Global Immersion Program (Hangzhou, San Francisco, South East Asia) $100,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- ABH is looking for African entrepreneurial heroes creating an impact in their communities and building a more inclusive economy for the future. Africans from all 54 African countries are eligible to apply irrespective of age, industry sector or gender. However, applicants have to meet a strict set of criteria:
- Applicant is of African origin. You should have African citizenship and/or a parent or grandparent has African citizenship.
- Company is Africa-Based. The business is registered and headquartered in an African country, and primarily operates in Africa.
- Company is post-Idea stage. Business is 3 years old or more and has at least 3 years of revenue history.
