Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor: Supporting Human Rights Defenders in Eurasia

Call for Proposals: European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights Program (Eritrea)

Deadline: 22 December 2016

The Department of States Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL) has announced a Request for Statements of Interest (RSOI) from organizations for programs that support the policy objective to provide critical support to human rights defenders in Eurasia.

DRL’s objective to assist activists in Eurasia who have been forced to flee their country and help them remain engaged in human rights work from abroad. Projects should have the potential to have an immediate impact leading to long-term sustainable reforms, and should have potential for sustainability beyond DRL resources.

Funding Information

An organization may submit no more than one SOI. SOIs that request less than $1,000,000 or more than $1,800,000 may be deemed technically ineligible.
