The No more bricks in the wall campaign will have its key momentum on 3rd October 2019 when in all the 28 EU capitals a national event will be realized.
For this purpose, a re-granting scheme (financial support to third parties) has launched to select 15 organisations to realise the capital events in the EU countries where there are no project partners, i.e. Belgium, Croatia, Ireland, Czech Republic, Portugal, Poland, Slovakia, Netherlands, Denmark, Estonia, United Kingdom, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Luxemburg.
Objective: Contribute to the No more bricks in the wall campaign, through the realization of capital events in one of the target countries.
The aim of the communication campaign No more bricks in the wall is to inform European citizens that migration is a complex and multidimensional phenomenon and a political issue which needs efforts and concrete actions taken by people and organisations / networks at all levels of society. As integral part of the communication campaign, capital events will be realised in all the EU member states and will have their key momentum on 3rd October.
Main Activities
The realization of capital events, including the achievement of the following minimum required outputs:
- projection of the selected project documentary on 3rd October in the capital towns and promotion of the petition.
- organization of events / activities (e.g. flash mob, art works, photo exhibitions, panels of discussions etc.) to ensure the max outreach of the campaign & the launch of the solidarity movement (through the petition).
- promotion of No More Brick in The Wall campaign and promotion of the petition Make 3rd October the European of Memory and Welcome.
The side events / activities shall be proposed basing on the applicants experience, in the frame of a strategy of outreach that maximizes the campaign objectives and impact and tailors it to their national contexts.

- Min and max project budgets: 30.000 EUR – 55.000 EUR
- Max contribution provided: 89% of the total budget

Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible for the financial support, entities must:
- Be non-state actors or associations of local authorities and
- Be legal persons and
- Be registered in the country where the capital event is to be realized and
- Have proven experience of realization of public events and of realization of campaigning, awareness raising activities targeting politicians at national level (i.e. national decision makers) in the country of registration and
- Have a long-term relationship to other CSOs multipliers, actors and journalists (etc.) and
- Have proven experience of managing projects of similar amounts.
Eligible Costs
Only eligible costs can be taken into account for a grant. Eligible costs must be based on real costs based on supporting documents and must comply with all the following criteria:
- They are incurred during the implementation of the project, as specified in the sub-grant contract. Costs shall relate therefore to activities performed during the implementation period.
- They are indicated in the overall budget approved and annexed to the contracts. During the project implementation, modifications to the budget shall be possible, however, upon written approval of Snapshots from the borders).
- They are necessary for the implementation of the project
- They are identifiable and verifiable, in particular being recorded in the accounting records of Sub-grant beneficiaries and determined according to the applicable accounting standards of their Country
- They comply with the requirements of applicable tax and social legislation.
