DGAP’s EU-Middle East Forum (EUMEF), in cooperation with the German Federal Foreign Office, the Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations (ifa), the Robert Bosch Stiftung, the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung, and the Rabat Social Studies Institute (RSSI), is welcoming applications for its capacity building workshop on “Socio-Economic Challenges and Opportunities: What Does the Future Hold for Morocco and Tunisia?”.

EUMEF invites twenty young and mid-level experts and professionals from the MENA region and Europe, working in think tanks, research institutes, politics or civil society organizations, and whose work focuses on socio-economic developments in Morocco or Tunisia.

During the workshop, the participants will receive an introduction to scenario planning and strategic policy analysis. In two working groups, they will then develop their own scenarios for possible socio-economic developments in Morocco and Tunisia. Presentations by renowned experts will complement the scenario planning sessions. The workshop will be held in English.

Interested applicants should application form and send it back together with a CV, a short (approx. one page) outline of what they perceive to be the greatest socio-economic challenges facing Morocco or Tunisia in the next ten years and what your main concerns are regarding the country’s future developments, as well as a short email outlining your motivation to participate in the capacity building workshop at the address given on the website.
