Grants to strengthen the Commitment and Capacity of Local CSOs in Chad

Kosovar Civil Society Foundation (KCSF) is currently inviting applicants to nominate candidates for the 2019 edition of the Democracy Award.

KCSF accepts nominations for individuals or organizations that made outstanding contribution to Kosovo’s democracy.

The purpose of the Democracy Award is to honor and recognize contributions of organizations and individuals, which resulted from new ideas, intellectual courage or achievements in the process of democratization of Kosovo.

The Democracy Award is awarded within the grant scheme for civil society managed by KCSF and supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the Swedish Agency for International Development and Cooperation (SIDA).

All nominations will be reviewed separately and evaluated by an independent board, based on the following criteria:

The Award aims to honour all those who have contributed to the development of democracy in Kosovo, in all fields, through civic engagement at different levels of government and/or improvement of civil, social, economic or cultural rights of different groups of citizens of Kosovo, with special emphasis on marginalized groups.
