Nominations are open for 2018 GLOBE Climate Leadership Awards that recognize exceptional Canadian organizations that are at the forefront of climate change action.
The 2018 GLOBE Climate Leadership Awards are an opportunity for Canadian businesses and municipalities to gain recognition for their achievements in combating climate change and participating in the clean economy.
Winners of these awards will be recognized at the GLOBE Forum 2018 in Vancouver, British Columbia (March 14-16). Each winner will receive a complimentary pass to the Forum and will be featured in a nation-wide communications campaign.
Award Categories
- Small/Medium Business Innovator: This award will be presented to a small Canadian business (registered as a Canadian corporation and with less than 500 employees) that has demonstrated innovation and leadership and made an impact in combating climate change. This award is presented with support from the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
- Large Business Innovator: This award will be presented to a large Canadian business (registered as a Canadian corporation and with more than 500 employees) that has demonstrated innovation and leadership and made an impact in combating climate change. This award is presented with support from the Business Council of Canada.
- Small Municipal Trailblazer: This award will be presented to a small Canadian municipality (less than 100,000 residents) that has demonstrated leadership in combating climate change. This award is presented with support from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.
- Large Municipal Trailblazer: This award will be presented to a large Canadian municipality (more than 100,000 residents) that has demonstrated leadership in combating climate change. This award is presented with support from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities
Eligibility Criteria
Only Canadian companies can apply.
How to Apply
- Every applicant must submit a completed application form and a 30-45 second video (shot on a mobile device). The videos will be shared on GLOBE Series’ social media channels (and then potentially shared by others), and a select few will be showcased on this website.
- Applicants must follow this step-by-step process to complete their application:
- Review the award categories and evaluation criteria
- Download and complete the application form for their award category and submit by e-mail at the address given on the website.
