The Subjective Values Foundation invites applications from migrant organizations and community representatives to advocate the interests of migrant groups living in Hungary during consultations with public authorities and administrative bodies, under the auspices of the project “Complex training and mentoring program to strengthen the political participation of migrants.”
Tasks
- Surveying the problems and needs of a migrant community in Hungary
- Representing a migrant community in Hungary at the Migrant Policy Forum, which will be implemented as part of the project and will include ten roundtable talks between September 2017 and May 2018
- Writing short texts for the social media platforms of the project and participation in the closing conference
Benefits
- Four 30-hour training courses for migrant-background representatives of NGOs in the following subject areas: founding and managing NGOs, fundraising, communication, social and cultural orientation
- 60 hours of free training and personal mentoring for migrant community representatives in the following subject areas: law and public administration, communication, social and cultural orientation
- Incubation and consultancy services for migrant majority NGOs
- Individual mentoring for migrant community representatives
- A stipend of HUF 10,000 per month
Eligibility Criteria
- Representatives of NGOs registered in Hungary, with non-citizens of Hungary or any other EU Member State making up the majority of their employees (applicants with a migrant background and knowledge of Hungarian are sought for)
- Individuals with no citizenship in Hungary or any other EU Member State (“migrant community representatives”), with knowledge of Hungarian
