Submit Nominations for Prime Minister’s National Youth Awards for Excellence!

Deadline: 5 October 2018

Nominations are open for the Prime Minister’s National Youth Awards for Excellence (PM Awards). The Hon. Floyd Green, State Minister in the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information (MOEYI) has called on all Jamaicans to nominate young persons who are excelling in various fields for the prestigious awards.

The PM Awards was started in 1998 as part of the Values and Attitudes Programme of the then government. After a 3-year hiatus, the Awards was restarted last year as a means of recognising and saluting youth (aged 15-24) who have distinguished themselves in various sectors.

The Prime Minister’s National Youth Awards for Excellence is open to all Jamaican nationals between 15-29 years old, who are living in Jamaica and the Diaspora, and who have attained excellence and world class achievement. Additionally, there is a Youth Work Award, which is open to individuals and organisations who have been involved in youth development work for a minimum period of five years.
