Thomson Reuters Foundation is seeking applications for its Gender and Equality Program.
This tour will also include workshops with practical exercises offered by the Foundation in any part of the world to give participants an insight into how world class materials are created. At the end of the tour, a certificate is issued by the Thomson Reuters Foundation.
Acting journalists interested in professional development are invited to participate. It is expected that applicant will create journalistic materials during and after the tour in London.
Adequate knowledge of English is necessary, however, candidates who speak only Russian will also be considered as an exception. A translation can be provided if necessary.
The programme operates on four levels:
- intensive workshops developing strategy and creating cross-platform content;
- in-house training or consultancies tailor-made for individual newsrooms;
- further opportunities to take part in other training events addressing key areas identified by participating newsrooms themselves;
- ongoing updates about the latest media trends and convergence.
Benefits
All participants’ expenses are covered by the Fund and include flights, accommodation, transfers and meals.
