Deadline: 07-Aug-2025
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is now accepting applications for a project aimed at addressing gender-based violence, child protection, and support for people with specific needs among displaced populations in Niger.
This initiative focuses on cross-sectoral areas including disability inclusion, gender equality, women’s empowerment, and protection services. The protection focus includes child protection, prevention and response to gender-based violence, and managing risks in emergency settings.
The geographic focus of the intervention is in Niger, specifically in the Agadez region.
Applicants will be evaluated based on several selection criteria. These include demonstrated sector expertise, experience in project management, and strong local presence. Cost-effectiveness and the applicant’s ability to contribute resources are also considered.
Other important factors are accountability to local communities, the sustainability of proposed interventions, and awareness of access and security conditions in the target region.
